Daily Health Requires Time and Flexibility

Posted on January 24, 2012 at 8:10 AM

After a bit of a break in writing my blog, several have asked me to start again. And so today I am doing that. I am not sure I will continue to use this site but for now, I figured out how to set it up (remember I am not techie) and I can add entries. So here is the first one for 2012. It will be my hope that I can add something 5 days a week. Blessings for your health of Soul and Sole!

One of the most interesting experienes in serving those who have health concerns is that I must face my own! It is hard some days to realize that if I am not consistent, even in the middle of a busy day or pressing events, then I am not able to helpfully serve you.

My newest tool, the Photontic Torch (red light therapy) is a good reminder of that truth.

For it to be most effective I must apply it daily. The torch is terrific for pain relief immediately and over time but it must be applied frequently, at least once or twice a day. It is handy because it fits into my pocket. It is handy too, because an application takes only a few seconds or a few minutes on an acupressure point to be effective.

In my faith life this is also true. If I don't read my daily meditations or read some of the Bible every day, my spirit is weakened and my focus is easily lost. There are lots of resources both in print and online. The one I like lately allows the user to choose a reading that is already published and it helps you keep track if you choose a monthly application or a year long commitment. It has been a help to me in finding daily faith life support.

Where to go?  http://www.youversion.com/

there is a list of daily reading choices, many versions and translations of the Bible to choose from and of course, mobile apps! I am still learning to use my "smart phone" and to figure out what terms are used to find what I want, but it surely is handy!

Blessings to you as you consider your daily health and faith life!
